A personal AF-images Lab experiment inspired by the work of Swedish jewellery artist Märta Mattsson.
Her practice explores insects, dead creatures, transformation, beauty, discomfort, and the tension between attraction and repulsion. This digital study tries to extend that field into a scroll-based visual experience: a cicada slowly shifting from empty exuvia to strange jewellery-like creature.
The piece was created with Blender, Octane Render and Webflow as a research prototype for new ways of presenting artistic objects, collections and creative universes online.
This is a personal, non-commissioned and non-affiliated experiment.
